Welcoming 2013

There's nothing too exciting to report this first week of January but the slowness of the week in terms of the kids activities has allowed me to deep clean the clutter in the house, read a book and simply enjoy the kids being home.  We all were supposed to get to hang all day at the house together yesterday, but Wes got called out to work right as we sat down for Mass and was out until after 7pm last night.  The kids and I didn't make it through Mass by ourselves and ended up making a run for the exit even before Communion as Reid was in prime form even managing to slam down the kneeler on the poor lady's toe who was sitting next to me.  Anyone want to make bets that we probably get an entire pew to ourselves next time??

I just have a few pictures from the new year to share...

We had a nice low key night with friends ringing in 2013 with some wine, great food, champagne and games of Catch Phrase.  All the couples chipped in to hire babysitters so that way the kids were entertained and not bugging us every minute throughout the evening.

Addy filled up her chore chart and chose to have a date night with Daddy.  They went out to eat at HuHot and had a fantastic time.  I really got the short end of the stick with this one as I was stuck at home eating frozen pizza with the rest of the kids.  :(

Jaidyn felt the need to come up and model the fact that she was able to wear every pair of underwear in her drawer at once.  She's crazy!

The kids worked incredibly hard to build this little snow guy!  They were scraping snow from all directions to make a pile big enough to work with.

They both chose to wear their "fashion" glasses on the first day back at school hoping to fool their classmates and teachers in to believing they got the real deal over Christmas break!  Poor Addy, hers are about 3 sizes to big for her tiny face!

Jaidyn bribed Levi in to eating a huge piece of broccoli out of his cheesy noodle broccoli soup and succeeded!

A birthday party with great friends for Levi's best buddy and his younger brother at the fire department!

What kind of parents let their child play on an obstacle course with a sucker in his mouth??

  1. Happy New Year!!! Here's to a wonderful 2013. I couldn't believe how big Reid looks in those most recent photos. At first I didn't even think that it was him! He is just adorable!
